This course is designed to provide the student with a basic technical understanding of welding safety, equipment adjustments, metal transfer and shielding gases. It also provides training to develop the skill necessary to make quality gas metal arc welds on mild steel from 3/16” plate to 1” plate, single and multiple pass welds using short circuit, globular, and spray transfer modes.
